Vesta Construction Group Limited’s site conduct was excellent.
We are very grateful to the director Mr. D’Orazio and Mr.Kiely, who oversaw the day to day activities. whose people management skills were able to maintain our neighbourly relations.
The work was undertaken between January and March this year. It was difficult and potentially very messy. Water run-off associated with two weeks’ continual ’DOFF’ steam cleaning was effectively contained at the base of the scaffold and guided away from the shop entrance.
Vesta Construction Group Limited’s operatives were able to bring their expertise to bear in lime mortar selection, pointing (including tuckpointing to the flat arches over the window heads), rendering and leadwork.”

“We are the Architects for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Hyde Park.

The Mandarin Oriental project consists of a full renovation of the hotel, including all the guestrooms, public areas, and the construction of a new penthouse. The works also included the cleaning and repairs to the external facades, each nine storeys high. It was in this area that we collaborated with Vesta Construction.

We have had the pleasure to work closely with Ricky D’Orazio and Fausto Angelucci from Vesta Construction Group from January 2017 to the present, over two phases of work to allow once half of the hotel to remain operational each time.

The works we carried out in collaboration with Vesta were:

  • The cleaning of the external facades, including all the stonework, masonry and metal work using a Doff system, and a Torc system for more stubborn areas.
  • Identification and implementation of stonework & masonry repairs, including structural, re-building of historical architectural detailing such as stone drips, re-pointing, balcony repairs and decorative works.
  • Rebuilding & enlarging of chimneys on the roof, as well as re-slating large areas of the roof and associated leadwork detailing at junctions and around new dormers.
  • Repair and re-decoration of ironwork.

Ricky, Fausto and their team have been helpful and easy to work with and have completed their work professionally and promptly.
